Tonight...I am exploring change.
Changing, mutating, metamorphosing...being.
I heard that sad chord earlier...is it D Minor?
The one that echoes in your soul when you realise what has never been, and what will probably, in the greater likelihood of such things...never be.
We were talking earlier, My Friend and I, sitting in his garden, pretending that it was summer.
"How long have you lived here? Here, in this house?"
"15 years..." the reply.
15 years...
15 years. I can record 3 years as my longest; anywhere; ever. From birth, to now.
I have no knowledge of what that is like, to be surrounded by familiar walls...the muck and perpetuity of a life lived in static.
Static stability...could a confirmed changeling exist encompassed?

Stone walls do not a prison make, Nor iron bars a cage; Minds innocent and quiet take That for an hermitage; If I have freedom in my love, And in my soul am free, Angels alone that soar above Enjoy such liberty. Richard Lovelace 1618 - 1657

Possibly D minor 9th, with a jarring E natural on top. It has its own peculiarly attractive dissonance. Sometimes the most clashing chords can prove fleeting and lead to a harmonious resolution. Or perhaps to a glorious unpredictable range of modulations. "Wisdom begins in wonder” (Socrates) Edited 28 Jul 11, 8:03 AM by wonderer | |

Yes...and that requires composition and rehearsal...so that what was dissonance becomes melodic. "I put my brave face on...so they won't know that I'm dead." |
