£40 for a couple.. that's approximately the price of a meal, with wine, for the same couple. I know which one I would rather choose. ~ It is always by way of pain one arrives at pleasure ~

I don't get it. I don't exactly make a mint, but £20pp is pretty standard to get into a club, particularly a niche club in my opinion. This isn't a market or a munch after all. Most 'nilla London clubs charge £15-20. We're talking max 10 nicker difference for something which has no where near the same attendance levels to pay the bills. Maybe it's that people are used to the "good ol' days" where a night out, a pint of ale and a bag of ready salted was a ha'penny with change for the bus home, or maybe it's just that people in the scene are tight. I don't think £40 is too expensive....and if we have that money spare and we're free then we'd choose to spend our money in that way every time. But we don't all have that amount money spare every month - especially if there are other occassional clubs that month. In addition as we don't live together all our spare money doesn't go on kink...we both like to maintain our vanilla social lives as well. Every month I check when PS is on...and whether it will fit into our schedule. If it does then we'll definitely be along again.

Ama is probably the friendliest, nicest, most helpful and honest people ive had the pleasure of encountering in the scene. If anybody is tempted to visit or has thought about it id strongly encourage them to.

Have been off air for a couple of weeks ( fried yet another hard drive!!)so missed all this. I must say that when you consider how good the venue is ( that costs ), all the equipment, a buffet and a standard price bar then £20 per head seems very reasonable considering the price of everything. Whoever compares the price for two with a meal out I would just say try playing like that in your local harvester! I think there would be some mileage in considering bi monthly

I was at play space last week and enjoyed helping to set up. There is a comprehensive range of high-quality equipment and Mz Ama and Numbers do a great job of organising and creating a conducive atmosphere. A mixed friendly crowd with a good D/s balance, I shall be going again.

While not having the chance to attend as of yet and going off what the majority of people say in regards to the organisers being great, food and good equipment, I still stand by my orig comment. In reality for this kinda thing, £20pp is expensive. Couples end up with £40-50 including petrol. why not £25 or even 30 for couples for instance. Exodus is by far the biggest most well equipped playspace I attend with great organisers and often a large table of munchies but any events there ive so far see at only £10pp like many other places. I could be wrong but every time ive been there thats been the contribution which Ive no problems paying. Ive even happly turned up with two subs and next event there will be 4 of us. Thats what is needed, more people which spreads wrd of mouth even more. Even then its only looking at a £40 charge. This event is also during a very busy weekend (Check the IC calendar) which is not going to help the number of attenders. I dont intend to sound nasty at all but to try to get some peoples heads out of the sand. A vetting form may also put people off slightly, why not have new people attend with someone who can vouch for them and give a user name for FL or IC they use. www.Bdsmandfetishmentor.co.uk Pro dom/me & Training / Mentoring services available.
