I found this link back in 2002 which discribes the process in which a submissive decends from top space down to sub vocal/primal space sub space. I knew of this site way back in the day and not seen it or the subject spoken of on the threads. Has anyone else seen this site before. Your comments on the contents please. Have you used it? adapted it? etc Yours is not to reason why, yours is but to do or cry. Edited Tue 19 Jul 11, 7:28 PM by xAdamx

I hadn't seen it before but definitely interesting for me and I think she's very much correct from my own experience, not sure i've reached much further than Blonde (how un-PC :D) space but yeah really interesting.

It's a site i often recommend to others, especially those new to the lifestyle and/or wishing to educate themselves.

I found it horribly, horribly patronising.

The writer does seem to write as if the reader is a small child, which in it's self may seem patronising because you are an adult..but I think that because subspace is classed like an altered state of awareness or trance, what the writer is doing is trying to put the subject across like a hypnotherapist talking to a person in simple direct terms as if they are in a trance. When a person IE the sub is in a trance or as said sub space as a Dom or as a Hypnotherapist I wouldn't want the situation where the mind becomes analytical which would break the trance and return the sub to top space. Or I could just say she explaining sub space as simply as possible...long windedness is a tool used by politicans and those seeking to be in control..lol Yours is not to reason why, yours is but to do or cry.

I remember some good stuff on that site - it doesn't seem to be working properly though. I know last time I looked at it, it seemed the pages are there if you have the direct links, but there's no navigation. And I lost all the direct links Edited to add - google is my friend http://www.steel-door.com/Chamber.html kirsty x Edited 20 Jul 11, 5:47 PM by kirsty_m

My comments on the contents are as follows: How fucking tedious. Another person who tells themselves that blonde hair equates to stupidity. Blonde women aren't stupid. Brunettes just tell themselves that to make themselves feel better about not being blonde. Meanwhile, ginger-haired girls just watch from the sidelines, chilling and being flippin awesome. That's what I heard, anyway. It could be wrong, but so could gravity and dinosaurs, so... QED. Here are some small words for you to look at. Aren't they tiny!

Yes, & very over-simplistic. I don't see subspace as something with 'easy to spot' levels at all, it's more multi-dimentional than that. The writing also seems to imply that a sub 'spacing' is some kind of given, which it very much isn't. Stuff like that, where the tone of the writing (or speech, if it's IRL) tries to be 'telling it like it is', but completely misses how it's actually a very personal thing & there are many variables really winds me up.
