 but :Me too.. I use the full frame 5D with a 24-70 L f2.8 as my 'club', event, portrait, and travelling camera, and the 7D with a 'push-pull' 100-400 L for sports.. the clarity, the speed of focus and the crop magnification produce superb results. (But I tend to take my 5D along in case I have to do group photos too) Having said that, I did use the 5D with a 70-200L f2.8 to capture the Red Arrows, before I had the 7D, and got superb results. Its very nice having a choice, but tbh its more to do with your composition, anticipation and processing ability than the camera.. yes, better equipment can give you a wider range of options, but it doesn't ensure good work. Recently I succumbed to temptation, went to Park Cameras and left with EF-S 17-55 F2.8. It is a lovely lens and I can see it remaining on the camera when I want a walk about lens. I am wondering whether I will ever use my 50 1.4 now. or my 17-85 kit lens, so maybe open to sensible offers. |
