I've realised the part of what's happening in my head is that I'm feeling very submissive whilst not doing much about that. Which is in part to do with distance. And this whole blog is mostly motivated by the fact that I miss him.
I don't know that I've ever had a relationship with someone geographically close. Sure, it's gone that way, whether I've moved in with them or we've just moved significantly closer to each other, but it's never started that way. I've had only one relationship with someone I've not met on the internet (not on dating sites, but through forums, fetlife and then IC) and one sexual partner under the same parameters. I'm worried about what that says about me as a person, but I don't think I'm going to worry about that tonight.
Most notably, there was the time my person at the time was 4800miles away for a few months. That was undeniably difficult. But you know what, this current 30 mile difference is no easier. It could be as far away as the moon for all the ease in crossing it.
In my official capacity as subbly sub extraordinaire (tm) I like to outsource the big decisions - or at least ask for input. I'm really quite an indecisive person. I didn't go to the supermarket today on the one hand because it makes more sense to go tomorrow when I'm already close by for work rather than take buses today and spend money on that unnecessarily but also because how do you choose which super market to go to? How?!
When big stuff is under someone else's remit I think I get better at making the smaller stuff happen for myself. I don't know if that's healthy or usual but I believe that's the way it is.

30 miles doesn't seem too bad, but if you don't drive Pick your supermarket by ranking the following; - Location - Cost - Nummy goodness - Amusement value of recent adverts - Hotness of the staff Many people would put the hotness of the staff higher on this list, but many people have not fully thought it through. Dominating a doormat is like wrestling a hamster. One sided, dull and not worth bragging about...

I drive but don't own a car. It's difficult. It doesn't seem too far at all on paper but that's kind of the point! I think your order is perfect! :D

Whereas I don't drive and own a car. Hmph. Outsource the big decisions to me. Basically as I am seeink it, Ray, the problem is that you are not callink your girlfriend for five months. You see, the hot babies like to feel wanted. If you are not callink them on the phone for a while, it is like a way of saying "you are worst song, played on ugliest guitar"

Or you could come up with a timeshare type arrangement, where you provide the car and she provides the driving, for both your benefits There's a somebody I'm longing to see, I hope that he turns out to be, someone to watch over me |
