This isn't a joke. Until maybe 7 or 8 years back the organisation that registers horse pedigrees and names used to frown upon any attempt to slip in what they considered risque names and it became something of a game with trainers and owners (especially Irish ones) to see what they could get away with, playing on the ignorance of the toffs who run racing. Mary Hinge has already been mentioned, but my favourite horse name that got past the scrutineers was Muff Diver.

I'm keen.on horseracing from a punting and social point of view. And yesterday (sat). I bet 10 horses studying form. I had 1 winner and a few non runners. I also recommended 10 horses to a friend with kinky names or something that she has in common with the horses name. And 5 of those won. The moral of the story is. Its all a lottery and fun. If u fancy the name bet it. The horse doesn't know what price it is. Good luck. X marvellous |
