At what stage should you release the chain around her neck? Discuss

WTF??? A chain can cause damage to the throat and muscles. Also if you don't know when to let go then that makes you a very dangerous man to know. I wouldn't use a frigging chain on my sub, the most I would use is my hands and I read up on it and know when it is best to let go. My god, doesn't anyone read up on things anymore, read as much information as you can then work out if it is for you. Master StUdZ

Erm, perhaps that's why he is asking on a board to do with BDSM, frequented by people who might know about these things?? To the OP, i'm afraid i can't help you - but i would suggest chain might not be the best way to start if you're unsure of timings etc. Using your hands can give you great results, but allows you to remove them much more quickly. I like breath play til i get a bit wriggly and scared, but not to the blacking out point - too scary for me! x Quick Lynn, run, they're sex people

Bit OTT there. You clearly haven't read up on it that much if you're saying a chain can do damage to the throat and muscles. First off, you don't need to worry about the muscles because the person will be dead long before any muscle damage occurs. Next.. Yes, damage can be caused to the trachea using a chain, but that can be true of anything around the throat. I would not recommend a high diameter straight link chain because the pressure would not be applied evenly. However, if you're using a low diameter twisted/flat chain or Jack chain then it really won't be all too different to a piece of rope. Do you think it's better he hadn't asked this question and had instead gone and just done it? Not knowing doesn't make him a dangerous man. Not knowing, not trying to learn and just trying it anyway would make him a dangerous man. You yourself have just said that you've read up about it and then just tried it for yourself. Doesn't that make you just as dangerous? He's doing the same thing as you; learning and then giving it a go. As for how long, obviously it depends on so many factors like position on the neck, angle of pull, direction of pull, strength of pull, chain type etc. There is no simple answer. I'd recommend you read my blog on breath play. Still, I can't help feeling the OP may be Trol-lol-ing.
