I think discharge is slightly acidic to help kill bacteria? But my memory is not what it used to be LOL. Is coffee acidic? Maybe heavy coffee drinkers get it more. Oh heavens, now the scientist in me wants to know if it's the acidity/alkalinity changes the taste... I'm not going to be able to get these crazy images from my head now!

Normal healthy vaginal pH is quite acidic (3.8 to 4.5) which supports 'good' bacteria whilst discouraging infections including yeast (thrush). | |||

I do know that when vaginal mucus is too acidic it can kill sperm and therefore prevent pregnancy. This may seem strange to some, coming as it does from a guy, but I worked in the field of breeding for many years. | |||

Apparently a lactose free diet changes the taste...apparently Weirdly I find that scent changes depending on what I've eaten - like if I have a curry or chilli-con-carne for some reason I taste like fruit buns - apparently! |
