I pity those that do lose their jobs over this but the paper was appalling. Hypocrisy barely sums it up. I am glad to see it's end. | ||

There's been talk of the Sun and News of the World merging for years. Just last month they announced an integrated editorship structure: "where appropriate, we will find ways of introducing seven day working" http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/greenslade/2011/... I never take any pleasure in anyone losing their job, especially in such financially challenging climes. I do however feel that if you run with the devil you will pay dearly for your trainers. The NOTW has, for a long time gone way beyond the bounds of what is considered moral and righteous and now the chapter has ended. This was inevitable as soon as whispers arose that his plan to be a media conglomerate were under challenge, Killing NOTW is a small price to pay. SOS SOS

The only thing that will really stop that sort of reporting is the lack of appetite for it from the Great British public. Granted you can argue the junkie verses the drug dealer supply and demand argument. I think the red tops are the symptom not the disease but then the journey of a 1000 miles starts with the first step and this is at least a step, or an apparent step in the right direction.
