Scenes involving learning a musical instrument (32)

A hard instrument to master so you'll be bending over regularly. Ruefully. Or not, as the case may be.

My second instrument is guitar not piano,as I didn't take tothe grumpy old witch my mother dragged me to for piano lessons. What we want is nurturing. Understanding. And some strict but caring discipline from time to time. The drilled two handed fraternity paddle as used by teachers and sports coaches in America might be going too far. Unless it were used by Goldie Hawn, Jane Fonda or Britt Ekland.

I play saxophone but have also scratched out a living on bass, guitar etc and have taught many people. Presumably everyone on this thread has seen the celebrities A-Z childhood spanking memories site. Britt Ekland was caned, nude, but her father at 18 for instance. I should say so. Love your sign off too. CP was used in schools music lessons for centuries. No shortage of ideas for scenes. Incidentally bought teaching gown and what an Irish junk dealer called "A Mortice Board" the other day. Great fun with pitch black Armani shades.

I use to get my knuckles rapped by the music teacher when I had piano lessons!! She'd use this long slender pointer that held chalk in the end and it bloody hurt! And I still can't play the piano all that well either!

I'd like to learn an instrument though, mainly the piccolo!

Out of curiosity, has anyone involved learning their instruments in their scenes, e.g. with motivation, practice, and so on? (I don't mean using instruments as toys, many of them are too expensive and fragile for that. :p )

I have a 4 grand les paul so erm naaa your ok,good idea though,and this one time,at band camp!!!!

I can see being told to practice an instrument in the context of D/s in that the D could tell the s that they are to practice for X hours per week.

In terms of the actual practice being part of a scene, I don't think that would work for me coz when I practice, any type of scene related attention would be a massive distraction for me lol

I dunno if anyone's metioned teaching how to play the pink oboe or meat flute, it needs many hours of practice a day.

More on topic: I think my piano 'playing' classifies as a sadistic practice. Especially as slaveboy is very musical. Bwahahahaaaaa........

If, as a student, your mind's on anything other than playing the instrument, you might as well put it away and watch telly instead.

Once you have a certain 'ability' the transparency your technique affords will allow you to react and respond to various influences.

Trouble is, when a musician of that calibre gets an idea in their head it tends to take over...so you could find yourself playing second fiddle (ho ho) to the music.

So cool it hurts...
