Have been following the disgusting behaviour of the NOTW and also threads on here but rather then hi-jack a thread or start a new one as it is just my thoughts and lack of under-standing so do feel free to educate me so here is my question![]()
Why isn't Murdock being held accountable? in the same way the heads of banks were accountable for there mess!
When companies have fucked up directors and owners have been accountable and the excuse "l didn't know it was happening" hasn't been acceptable...
Time that the law came down hard on them all hell am sure they can find something to charge them with ...

The difference is someone whos a CEO on behalf of the owners/shareholders and murdok who is the owner. IMO its time the likes of News International and the BBC got refered to the monopolies commission. The former justifies its size because of the latter. Edited 7 Jul 11, 9:52 AM by CookieMonster |

It just seems to me that phone hacking for news paper stories is happening on a much bigger scale then we are being lead to believe yet no one in power is being held accountable...

Murdoch is 'outraged' which is a nice corporate line. But I feel the line stops at the MD's level , she had strategic , operational and day to day control , Murdoch didnt nessecerily know what what was afoot. He suffers as major advertising has been pulled from NoTW and it looks like the BSkyB deal is now in question. "Litany, a poncy show-off with wit, a camera, and his own teeth *swoon*"

Hoisted by his own pitard methinks, it was inevitable when he 'streamlined' the process by removing the steps that enabled the QA process - an editor admited, on Radio 4 yesterday, that he did not have the resources to even read most of the journalistic content - that used to be done by the sub editors, proof readers and even the linotype operators and typesetters - skills all deemed 'redundant' when Murdhoch 'improved' the industry - now it is done directly by the journalists and, apparently, if it gets read by the editor that's more of a bonus than a process.

Yes have been following the different companies with-drawing there advertising, some are just waiting to see the outcome of the enquiry but l do hope that the advertisers turnover remains the same or even increases without advertising in the NOTW giving them a good reason not to go back advertising there. So come on support the companies that have pulled out of advertising in the NOTW and maybe they will never return, no advertisers no paper simple!!! Don't make them a priority, when they only make you an option... |
