Ok, I'm going to stick my neck out here and suggest we meet on Saturday 12 March at the Via Fossa at 5pm, right after the Manchester Munch. I'm guessing quite a few of those interested will be at the Manc Munch anyway and if we meet right after it won't interfere with the munch and the Via Fossa is big enough that we can find a quiet corner somewhere in the pub to hold a meeting. Feedback please....

Great idea well spoken Tanos - I know it has been something that gg and I have spoken about manytimes and Im sure were not alone. Manchester is a natural focal point in the belt that runs effectively across from Liverpool to Hull - 19% of the population of the UK live in it! In my mind there has been a obvious potential for a local event for local people which would pull in people from as far as Scotland or London as it is equidistant from both. While there are advantages in linking with other groups in terms of experience there is also the doble edged sword that they come with any non positive influences they MAY have attracted. There seem to be some issues between some of the groups mentioned even though this is supposed to be an all inclusive lifestyle. Yes its a great idea and not only would I support such an event but would gladly assist in anyway in making it happen. Yes I think it should be a 'local' event - why because LFF Swamp and BBB all enjoy their own specific identities, have their own followings - formula events rarely travel well as what works for one demographic group doesnt always for another. To build up a regular base of people who come to it - its own individual identity would be IMHO a good idea. That doesnt mean to say experieced voices shouldnt be listened to. As they say just my own thoughts.

And now even it's own thread! (We don't have anything to limit the length of threads like b.com does, but it's probably worth starting one with the date in the title now.) Tanos
