This may be taken really badly by some.. but a munch is a munch and its for that purpose... i feel the meeting should take place away from an event thats already set up.
If the meeting takes place at lifestyle then straight away the event will start to get linked to lifestyle.
its ment to be an independent event?? or has jenis got it wrong again
Oh and think it would ruin the munch enviroment and make newbies very uncomfy
just my view xx

All the Lifestyles Management have done jenis is fill the void. They have offered space during one of their munches (The best munch there is in my opinion) to enable those interested in working together towards a common goal to begin that work.
Lifestyles Management are not organising the meeting they are merely providing space for a meeting to take place. Obviously anybody else, any other group could have done the same but none did.
I wonder why a newbie would be uncomfortable seeing a group of people discussing how they can work together for the betterment of the lifestyle as a whole.

Hi,
Just being nosey round here and found this great and interesting topic. Nice to see lotsa people pulling together!
I might be butting in (sorry) thinking on simple lines like jenis - but the munch is a pretty busy place and I was just wondering if it would be that easy to discuss and arrange things in such an environment where you are all likely to be interupted and taken off track by people coming to say hi to you every 2 mins?
Also if there are newbies or even fairly newbies there who only know one or two people dont they rely on the very people taking part in the discussions and valuable dedicated munch hosts to support them by not being isolated in a corner for a couple of hours?
Gonna explore other topics now - sorry for butting in

i must admit i'm inclined to agree with these points too.
As has been pointed out the lifestyles munch is a pretty popular munch, as is the Manchester munch. Since it is impossible to guess how many people are likely to turn up wanting to join in any discussion (and how disruptive to a munch this is likely to be) it might be more sensible to arrange an online meeting far sooner than April. This may make it easier to gauge the general level of interested parties and may get the ball rolling sooner rather than later.
Just a suggestion,

DOes it need to be online or at a munch or BDSM event? Couldnt it just be agreed to meet in a pub at a certain time? PIck one with a fairly quiet corner and away you go?
People may overhear bits - but who is actually going to approach you and say sorry but your conversation that I was rudely listening in to offended my delicate ears?!
Just trying to be helpful

I personally have to agree that I don't think having the meeting at the munch is a good idea for all the reason's mentioned above and then some other points
I look forward to finding out what the plan is after all time is tick tick ticking away
gg Do it trembling if you must, but do it.

Yes but that's a meeting to plan Kinkfest. I thought we were trying to organise something in Manc across the board, where different groups would organise various things but coordinate their efforts. Or am I wrong?
I think we should organise a separate meeting for all interested parties, whether they are involved in Kinkfest or not.

Though time was devoted at the meeting (to which all were invited) to discussing future KinkFests (and minutes of the Meeting are available to all on the Unfettered Forum) KinkFest is not, and never was, the only activity of Unfettered and amonst other things discussed were the planned workshops.

No problem popi. I think however there appears to be a little bit of, dare I say, confusion, following an offer to meet "all parties" at the munch, by some people as to the involvement of people other than those established already in Manchester.
