Hi all,
Mainly a message for those in Scotland.
A friends son is serving out in Afghanistan at present, with the Scots Dragoon guards, I have been putting together some of the shoeboxes to go out there, but something they keep requesting is copies of the 'Scottish Sun' newspaper! as they love getting the local news, and it really boosts their morale and makes them smile, rather than the English trash papers we have here apparently
being as I am in Cambridge, it is a fairly long drive to get up there to buy a couple to send out.
I was therefore wondering if anyone up the road would be kind enough to be able to donate me a couple of 'Scottish suns' and post them down to me at all? I feel I have abused the generousity of my Scottish facebook friends enough already.
To make the request a little more demanding... could the copies be from before today please, as they lost one of their chaps today and as the Scottish Sun is meant to cheer them up and raise their spirits, and I am sure that such news will have hit the papers already and reading a headline like that will not have quite the same morale boosting effect.
Please contact me by memo if you are happy to help

Personally. I don't buy what is now Scotland's most popular newspaper or any other red top publications. Rather than trash from the English editions. There is Scottish trash. You can make your request by phone 0141 420 5200. The address is The Scottish Sun, Guildhall, 5th floor, 57 Queen Street, Glasgow G1 3EN. Here is the newspaper's website. Please note there is different Scottish editions. If the person does not come from Glasgow. There is no point buying the Glasgow editions of any UK wide newspaper. If you explain to the The Scottish Sun why you need copies of their papers out to Afghanistan. Maybe they could help and be more generous Other UK newspapers have Scottish editions. Published and edited in Glasgow and printed in the West of Scotland such as Scottish News of the World, The Daily Star of Scotland, The Daily Star on Sunday, Scottish Daily Express, Scottish Sunday Express, Scottish Daily Mail, Scottish Mail on Sunday, The Times Scotland, The Sunday Times Scotland, The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph. bootssub x |
