We've got the possibility of having a BBQ at the next putney munch - however - unlike previous years, the pub is unable to provide us with use of kitchen facilities or provide us with the baps/salad. The pub is able to provide the gas, bbq, and plates *ONLY* Now, for previous BBQ's we have brought our own meat, which has worked very well if some what chaotic. This year, if we/*you* want to have a BBQ it's going to need to be little more organised or it ain't happening. We need people to commit and say what they are bringing before the event! And we're going to need to arrange things like baps and salad ourselves. If everyone helps out a little, it's going to work out. if no one posts to say they'll do something, it ain't going to happen - I'm not around for the week before the next munch, so someone standing up and organising people will be a big help. Bump. I know it's a couple of weeks away, but it would be nice to know if people a) want a bbq ( the last few years have been truely excellent events), and b) if they're willing to help out. Mike | ||

Thank you to the people who have offered support - however as I can't be around next week to ensure the BBQ happens, and only two people saying they'll help ( and not one single other person even saying they'd like to come ) - then I'm really sad to say but the BBQ is cancelled. (the munch will happen as normal but without a BBQ) We might try again for the following month when hopefully more of us be around. Mike |
