I have fallen in love.
Madly, deeply, head over heels, in love.
With Scotland.
OK, at least with the Borders.
Haven't seen the whole country (yet).
And with the accent.
Have just spent my second weekend there, and loved it. Love the rolling hills, the fresh air, the accent, have I mentioned the accent? Now, just need to find a Scottish lover so I can listen to the accent all day long.

You wait till you get to the Western Highlands. You won't ever want to leave.

A friend of mine has a house up there, and this is quite literally a view from his front door, as the photographer is a friend of his. http://www.gordon-c-harrison.co.uk/eaction/ecom.... I have asked him how he ever manages to tear himself away and come back to the grind of London. I couldn't. I want to go up there and just write my novels. You say Ouch like it's a bad word.

Well, not until you're running down the road waving your arms about in a vain attempt to ward off the swarms of life-sucking midges.....unless that was just me Tis beautiful there, though.

If you think that's nice just wait till you see The Highlands! I'd recomend The West Coast from Loch Lomond to Mallaig (where you can get the ferry to Skye). I fall in love all over again every time I go I think, therefor I fuck up!!

Oh that'll be the summer. Don't worry, they don't get them as often as we do!

Ohhhhhh - I sooooooooo love Scotland, especially the west coast, islands and central highlands. As for the (non-Glasgow) accent... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ~ drifts off on sweet memories ~
Have fun discovering such a beautiful place and good luck with the lover Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more.

I've never been bitten by a midge in my life. Aparently they're afraid of Glaswegians
Wear a kilt and a 'see you Jimmy' hat and beard and they'll run for their tiny little lives I think, therefor I fuck up!!

When I was cycling through there, a lifetime ago, everytime we stopped we seemed to be instantly surrounded by swarms of the wee sods. Luckily it was back in my smoking days and they didn't seem too keen on Old Holborn so we sparked up the second we stopped.

Oh - how could I forget to mention Iona?! The light is simply stunning and the water like crystal. ~ sighs and drifts off again ~
Ermmm, would you like someone to carry your bags the next time you go to Scotland? Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. |
