X-Men Movie. What a rip off. (15)

I so can't believe it! The new X-Men movie! So, so gutted!!!

What a rip off!

There was no clip after the credits.

There is always a clip after Marvel movie credits. Could this be the end of the X-Men series?

Also, I didn't see Stan Lee in this one (although he was listed as one of the producers). Granted, I often miss him in my first viewing of a film. Will probably catch him the next time I see it.

And there will be a next time, cause they did a damn fine job if you ask me!

most of the marvel films have been a major disspointment ... the x-men in particular.

batman has set the standard for comic book adaptations .... marvel need to up their game

all for one and fuck the rest

There is only a bit at the end of the trailers if there is something to lead on to. With the Avengers movies they are all in production or already signed off and so they have something to stick on the end to tease you with. I'm guessing First Class is mainly a one off with the possibility of more rather then definitely going to be more.

Can you tell I'm bored and have nothing better to do with my life?

I've just watched the second so I can watch the third later on on TV.

Am gutted that *my* slave can't cool my drinks down for me like that! I'll have to send him back for a refund!

Yes, fair point, and well presented.

But I can still feel disappointed. I mean, I sat there for a whole few minutes, playing with my iPhone, after all.

They're onto a franchise, and probably feel like they need too, or 'can' knock out movie after movie without much effort. Pack in enough special effects and you don't need much storyline or plot. This one at least answered a lot of questions.

Also it had a lot of lingerie.

OH! Now that's a tread idea. If we could have a sub (or a Dom/me) with a X-Men style special power, what would it be?

There should be some sign or symbol or something to let people know that there is more after the credits. Although they could just move it to the front of the credits and save all that sitting around. Especially if the music is crap.

I don't see why they have to change the story so much in the films. Like why did Bifrost have to be a machine? Why does Optimus Prime have to have flames and the Autobots have to act like the Keystone cops? Why isn't the Matrix kept in Optimus' chest? Why was Jetfire a senile old dark plane instead of the large white Valkyrie? Why did Galactus have to be a swirly cloud?

I have to say that Chris Nolan has set the standard for Superhero films and it's going to be hard to match him unless Marvel put some effort in it and are prepared to spend some pennies rather than do everything as cheap as possible.

I started the thread, and mentioned that in a partner, I'd like a Domme that could read my mind. But if I had a special power, I think it might be the ability to heal on demand.
