I'd suggest that in my experience, there are not many people for whom an alternative partner is likely to scratch the itch, although logic dictates that you're more likely to find a suitable match on a site like this than anywhere else!

I shouldn't fall into the trap though of assuming that most dommes like the thought of multiple partners at once, as many seem to.

I think we are a broad church on here, which is why I like it. Most of my life I've believed monogamy to be the best option, but IC has broadened my outlook and I've become more open to less traditional relationships. I just read somewhere (I think on Fetlife) that one might lead to the other, so thought I would ask.

Sure it works for some but the anecdotal evidence seems to be that it in trying out the cuckold fantasy it destroys more relationships than it preserves.

Cuckolding requires a unique relationship for it to survive the natural jealousies and stresses that arise. Most people are not cut out for it. The two of you need to talk and talk and talk in order to understand if it is what you really want and whether you can survive it.

It might if you both want it to - it shouldn't if one or the other of you doesn't.

You need to talk this sort of thing over with your partner first.
