Trying in my own mind how to word this effectively.. so please excuse me.
After a worrying message on Facebook and no contact from you (to anyone I know) I do hope our worst fears aren't realised.

You will NEVER believe how MANY people were worried on Saturday. The scene grapevine and mobile phones were HOT. When someone like you comes along and touches SO MANY hearts with that smile, and makes SO MANY friends, we ALL worry about them. Oh dear! For those that don't know, unfortunately a relative of mine, also named Peter, died last week. My aunt, who isn't used to FB, posted this on my wall. To be honest, it was all a bit emotional and I should have realised that someone from outside seeing the post could misinterpret it, but wasn't thinking along those lines. The problem was further compounded by me leaving my mobile on charge in the bedroom while I watched the cricket on Saturday. The first I knew of anything was when I picked it up to discover a dozen missed calls. Thank you to everyone who has let me know that they're glad I'm not dead - I'm somewhat relieved too! Say what you like about the Scene (and just recently I did pass comment on a thread that showed some of the down-sides to a relatively small scene) there are also times when you realise what a wonderful group of people we have. Thank you all. XX A dirty mind is a joy for life. |
