Came across this stuff last year,
was wondering if anyone else has? http://www.maplin.co.uk/ This polymer has all the characteristics of a tough 'engineering' material yet it fuses and becomes easily mouldable at just 62°C. It can be heated with hot water or a hairdryer and moulded by hand. ( as reads the makers blurb) Now 62°C is quite hot to the touch yet it still remains workable at more tolerable temperatures (though it does not fuse as well). When finally cool it becomes a tough plastic that can even be drilled, yet thinner cross sections remain flexible. The puzzled look upon my "Nina's" face as she fingered the seamless band of her new collar unable to find the buckle/padlock was priceless.

I must admit that sounds like an amazing discovery, Musch like the BDSM freaks who descend upon B&Q every week for the same effect but with different goods. (anyone fancy a home made stock?) However I couldn't find it on the website listed, whats i called?

i came across this stuff about a month ago. I had to go and get a huge tub of it to play around with and experiment. i have to say that it is fantastic and the possibilities are endless. just the job for making a full face mask, although i did get into a few difficulties whilst testing it. i didnt realise just how strong it would be when set.

Aw, I thought this was going to be a Red Dwarf related thread! Sounds good all the same! On a similar note, you can get fiberglass reinforced bandages...
