I went to my first BBB a couple of weeks before my 40th Birthday. That was my first fet event. Never looked back. Life really does begin at 40.

Think of it like this.

Double 40 which means in another 40 years you will be 80 years of age.

Thats when you need tonnes of anti wrinkle cream.

So dont worry, just panic in 40 years time from now.

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional.

Thanks a lot, Frankie. I turn 50 on the 15th. :-( I haven't had a crisis yet. I hope it doesn't hit now. Because, tbh...I don't see much after there either. LOL But...I will enjoy life while I can. Naught much else to do, really. LOL

Well...there's always scaring the shite out of the youngsters. THATS amusing.

Strangely, I found 30 harder to cope with than 40. Now I look back at 30 and think it wasn't that old really!

Anyway RD, you are lovely, you have in no way become any less gorgeous just because the time since your birth has increased. As has been said above and in many other places, age is only a number.

Belated Happy Birthday River Deep ... Gary xxx.

I loved being 40, it was downhill all the way when I turned 50, so enjoy this decade of freedom, liberation and decadence!

I have to be honest and say my 40s were mostly crap, but that was down to being in a shite marriage that should have ended around my 40th, and a bad career choice. Since stepping away from both of those, I'm happier at this age than I ever was in my 20s.

Having turned 40 back in November, I can categorically state that so far, apart from the last 7 weeks or so, it is a year filled with (mostly) awesome stuff.

A fanastic birthday celebration, an Awesome Christmas Day (Did nothing, went nowhere, pleased no-one but myself, staying nekkid, cooking food at 9pm when reluctantyl got too hungry to stay in bed any longer, and fucked *a lot*) a good NYE party, and most recently some rather wonderful young things arrived in my life to cheer me more.

Honestly, it takes until about 40 years of life to get comfy with yourself... so, now you are (and if not, get with it, life's too short for insecurity angst!) get out there and have FUN!!!!

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective & permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment

My 22 year old brat of a boyfriend decided to wonder aloud if I was his midlife crisis on Saturday night. I was 30 last week (and not especially happy about it). Nearly stabbed him with a fork...

You're a gorgeous, funny, vibrant lady, RD, and I've missed reading you the last few years. Age ain't nothing but a number, hon ;-)

Does your depravity know no bounds?
