And if you need any advice on how to not be one, i shall give you a small piece of advice... If you go to the cinema, remember you are not at home, remember that tickets are expensive, remember that people want to see and hear the actors on screen. DO NOT CONTINUALLY COMMENT ON EVERY THING THAT HAPPENS AND (Oh yeah, the bold has come out now) DO NOT SAY THE PUNCHLINES TO THE JOKES BEFORE THEY ARE SAID.[/CAPITAL SHOUTY BIT].
I am a little shaky. I told a (drunk?) man to stop talking. He took his 3D glasses off to tell me he didn't like being told what to do. I held back telling him i didn't like drunken twats ruining my film and instead shook a little, secretly. That showed him.
At least Kiera Knightly wasn't in it, the stupid cow, so not a bad night all in all.

You need to either hand out the Wittertainment Code of Conduct or go to a cinema which enforces it. Rohypnol means never having to say "Would you like another coffee?". | ||

Did you tell him off while wearing your 3D specs halfway down your nose? Could have made his night! I've complained to staff in the past but this involves missing part of the film while finding someone. Bring Back the Usherette! | ||

Shame I couldn't lend you my special brand of shaking-with-ill-concealed-and-barely-contained-rag e-with-the-same-potential-for-extremely-sudden-and- unpleasant-volatility-as-nitro-glycerine-having-a- really-really-bad-day. Haven't done it for a while but it used to be able to render entire rooms full of strangers into awed silence. (There were some words beforehand, but they barely count, honestly.) Might not work in the dark though... not unless I can step it all the way up to the Saint-Vitus'-Dance-of-ill-concealed-and-barely-cont ained (etc.) but somehow I am not sure that will have the same effect.
Never mind, any film without Keira Knightly is a win! For those Keira Knightly fans now feeling offended...here's a peace offering just for you. Stuck in the maelstrom... | ||

Yes those "Usherettes"... with the small table attachment on strings dangling off their bodies, with copious amounts of those square Kir-Ora's, the boxes of smarties, jelly babies, and a fancy torch... pearl&dean adverts... ahhh.. those were the days. | ||

Me butting in to lean forward and reply to him "And I don't like you talking" didn't give you much of a chance
I was half expecting it to kick off when the film finished, but we all sat and read some of the credits and then mia and I (who were nearer the exit) got up and left. So a catastrophic loss of face by either side was avoided :T:

This is why I go to the cinema after the film has been out a while and hopefully at a time when the cinema is quiet. Still it reminds me of them old anti-piracy adverts where you get a film that has people talking or getting up to go to the loo or food counter on them. Why buy a film like that when you can pay more and go to the cinema and experience it in real life. "You wouldn't steal a car." Hell no, but I'd copy one if I could. We've gotta go to the crappy town where I'm a hero. | ||
