I bought my first cane at the Harmony Centre in Manchester.

I suppose that's closed now.

The Boat is a wonderful SM party; if you join us you will have a lovely time.

Sadly Affleck's Palace seems to have been badly affected by a period of uncertainty about its future a number of years ago. As a result a number of the traders within took the opportunity either to move or to call it a day. There are a few places still left in there though, although I found it to be less of a goldmine of little shops stacked high with all sorts of goodies and more about trendy boutiques with prices to match last time I went in.

Other than that I have to say the only other place I ever found was a little downstairs 'adult' shop off a side street near Piccadilly station. Unfortunately the one and only time my partner and I ventured in, the first thing we saw were some shelves packed with second hand physics textbooks of circa 1970s vintage. We had to go back outside to double check we were in the right place. I guess there's always something to float people's boats, whatever their kink.

Insert blatant double-entendre in this slot

Sorry, yes it has but I believe here is a blue plaque that commemorates that event on the estate agents that it has become
