Pagan Munch

Does anybody know of a Pagan munch in London if not how do I go about starting one?

Its very easy. Pick a date, time and venue, give people adequate notice on here. Turn up and see how who comes along! That is more or less how the Anarchist Munch started.

@TheMarquise has it bang on. How we started Docklands in fact.

Only provisios I add is to make it somewhere with at least a semi-private area, accessible for you, and a date/time you can guarentee attendance every month on.

ETA: Oh, and try HARD not to clash with other munches with the same catchment area!

I think in 6 years I've missed 2 Docklands due to illness, and that it, because the date fits my live well.

If you need advice I'm here!

Good luck!

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective & permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment

Not a munch but this event next week in London might put you in contact with other pagan bdsm people.

Thank you I'm going

Could be a good place to start asking.

Suprised there isn't a Pagan munch already. Its something i would like to get into more and it is getting popular as an alternative to mainstream religons due to it Ecology/Green issues nature.

Possible London venues,

(think its been used by others from the Fetish community).

Camden area as a backdrop setting etc.

Pagan links

Pagan calender dates to hold a munch if possible

The Tarot group here would be a good place to ask too.

I would go to the munch but i cant pretend to be a fully pledged Pagan but would like to be (more pre-christian Keltic fundermentalist, whatever that it is).

I'd definitely come to a pagan munch and would be happy to help organise it and promote it :)

A bit like that there Jewish munch you mean (a munch for Jewish BDSM people)? Or the Christian munch perhaps (a munch for Christian BDSM people). Or the London ladies munch (a munch for lady BDSM people based in London). Etc.

What else were you thinking of?

.
"Journalism" is an anagram of "o, lunar jism".

I'v emailed and called quite a few Central London and Camden pubs but as yet they have been very slow at returning my calls or emails ( I'v no Idea what pub managers do during the day). But I'm looking at holding it on the last Wed of every month starting in June and All I need now is a venue and that I'm determined to find by the end of the week. Faerie Catcher I'f you have any recommendations or advice please pass it on my way. Thank You.

A munch-like meeting for vanilla pagans, as that would be off-topic. Hence the helpful request for clarification.

A vanilla pagan meeting would be a 'moot.' And there are around 30 a week in London alone run by The Pagan Federation, CoA, TOT, individuals, specific venues and non-public groups etc.

OP may find it useful to explore existing provision as IME there is a strong element of BDSM tolerance and literacy amongst many groups and frequent sexuality themed workshops/lectures/talks/moot themes over the year.

For a specifically kink friendly group, who are willing to 'out themselves' by attending a munch-moot IME it tends to be a very young and rarely ritual/magick practicing smattering of folk, but I'd be interested if you got it going.

Yeah, the only rules for starting munches are:

1) be consistent, 2) turn up when you say you will 3) be patient

good luck, too far for us to come, but merry met..

Hey CreativelyDominant,

I don't know off hand but my first port of call would be to approach the pubs that host existing munches and start from there...

Then I'd give the Devereaux a call - where the Moot With No Name has been (as has Talking Stick)... They are certainly pagan-friendly and I would imagine kink-friendly and have the private upstairs room.

Are you coming to some of the Raven Kaldera talks this week? If so we can natter over plans. Might be good to theme the first mooty munch with a theme/workshop/conversational starting point just so we can get initial numbers in for the first one.

I'm pretty busy with Raven's talks and workshop this week but if nothing is resolved by next I'll get on board and help out...

As for Wednesday, both the MWNN and the Talking Stick are on alternate Wednesday's and so you might be cutting into some of your crowd by having it on that day...

Some initial thought :)

Be@st wishes,

FaerieCatcher
