Take two 35mm film cannisters with lids, pierce each lid with a hole big enough to thread some strong twine through it. Fill cannisters with water, thread the twine through the lids into the water, place the caps on the cannisters and freeze. You now have two very random timers that can be used in a number of ways. One example is to tie weights to the twine close to the cannisters and clover clamps to the other end of the twine. zip tie the cannisters to a hook on a door, place the clover clamps on nipples.
