Apologies if this has been talked about elsewhere on here, but came across this story today

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1385953/...

Does anyone know the person in question and how she is coping with this?

Very sad.

What a *horrible* newspaper that is.

Does anyone know <deleted by request> and how she is coping with this?

Very sad.

<From the article>

But the panel refused to strike <Surname deleted after prolonged pestering by someone who had posted her name on his own post (now edited).> off the teaching register, saying her 'fetish activities does not make you a danger to children'.

Apart from wondering how the 'other teachers' found out. I found this final sentence heartening (even if it doesn't scan).

The only problem with her being a teacher and a domme is that somebody has told young kids something (potentially misleading) about it.

Who wants to explain the distinction between a prodomme and a prostitute to a child?

There's nothing wrong with hiding adult topics from children until they're old enough to handle them sensibly.

Just imagine how unfair it would be if some teacher was gay and it became known to their class - ridiculously unfair.

I wonder how she easy she is going to find it to continue to work or find work - nigh on impossible I should think.

The way dross like this is written makes me boil. They choose words with so many negative connatations and phrase things in such judgemental ways. I do often wonder how deliberate that is with rags like this? On reflection I don't actually credit them with that much intelligence or insight.

By Daily Mail standards (not sure that using "standards" and "Daily Mail" like that makes sense) that counts as a remarkably unbiased and kink-friendly article. Even some of the reader comments are supportive. Doesn't alter my feelings about that rag which is only worthy of the recycling box.

I haven't seen her for a while but knew about her GTC hearing and also that it had been much postponed and delayed. Good to see that it has been resolved at least partially in her favour but hardly good to be splashed over the Daily Hate again.

I *despise* that accursed rag with a passion. I walk to work past their offices, and have often toyed with posting dogsh*t through the letterbox, but I know that it'll be some poor janitor who'll have to sort it out.

It's worth bearing in mind that a site called istyosty mirrors the Daily Mail's website so you can read it without giving them the web traffic they need to sell advertising:

Some of the typical comments being posted on the article.

'''fetish activities does not make you a danger to children'.:::::::::::::: But what sort of morals will it teach those young impressionable children, to know their teacher advertises 'fetish' services which customers regard as sexual? - Eddie, Enfield, 12/5/2011 05:22

"Slapped with a reprimand" - hope it hurt. Pathetic - I hope all the parents at the school now refuse to let their children be taught by her. - John, London, 12/5/2011 03:39

Firstly i doubt the kids would have found this out by themselves and if they were trawling pro domme websites and Ic then their parents need a slap!

Without snoops and busybodies making mischief nobody would have been any the wiser and she could have carried on being a damn fine teacher. It is THEM who have exposed the children to all this, not the poor woman!
