I wonder if...
The Mayan Calendar that predicts the end of the world in Dec 2012 is a year and month off.
And if that asteroid that is passing between the Moon and the Earth in November, at 120,000 miles away, actually isn't going to be a 'near miss', but the scientists were told to say that to prevent a panic.
And if it is really, the end of the world as we know it...
Nah, probably not.
We are probably going to be just fine.
But will be fun to watch. I for one will be in the garden with a scope pointed to the sky waiting for everyone to be turned to zombies.

I bought an RSPB calendar AND IT ENDS IN DECEMBER 2011 The world is going to end! According to the RSPB. So probably there will be lots of killer birds. Or something. Sticks and stones may break my bones....but whips and chains excite me. |

I remember an episode of Sykes when the world was rumoured to be coming to an end. For some reason everbody, sister Hattie included, thought they should sit on the top of some big hill nearby. He objected to this plan, saying something like "When the end of the world comes, I want to be sitting in front of the fire, eating bacon sandwiches". I wise man, that Eric. "I was having fun, till I saw you. Then my fun went soft" |
