I've just read this entire thread, and the thread to which it referred, and all I've learned is:

Two people had a messy breakup. One of them may/may not be a furniture thief. One of them may/may not be a gay sub. Empress Martine is still from another world. There's no money in house clearances.

Now I want compensation for the hour I just spending reading this shit.

Its more then that! Both lied to each other. One lied to someone outside the relationship but was related to them,about the other person's sexuality.All in all and take in the other stuff,money and furniture theft. The simple answer is if you build a relationship on sand,it will be washed away.

Yeah, but EM has been posting her completely mental everything on IC for ages - and no matter how many people laugh at her, she still comes back.

That is another moral you can draw if you wish but you read the original thread closely,you see what I mean and yes,never post your breakups on IC.

There are lots of studies showing women tend to marry men who earn more. I would hope we could change things to ensure that were not so but it continues. It's one of the biggest causes for lack of progress for women because if your husband is the higher earner you can guess who ends up holding the baby, whereas if your wife earns £100k and you £25k then it is probably less likely the wife will sacrifice her career and earning potential.
