I'll un-second the tkb recommendation - grrrrr! Avoid, avoid!

Really? How come?

I was going to ask the same thing - I think the TKB books are excellent. :)

On the subject of recommendations the following books by the knotty boys are really excellent Back on the ropes & Showing you the ropes but my favorite is The better built bondage book by Douglas Kent which has your own clothing kit and impements. I had to order mine from Canada as it is hard to come by. john

I find that plastic cable ties are good, and insulation tape. They grip well without the need for anchorage around the back or neck, which rope seems to need unless you tie it very tight. Also light gauge chain wrapped round tight and fastened with a padlock works. Just keep checking for warmth to ensure you have some circulation.

Well, it's a bit OT, but since folk have asked....

I don't like the tkb stuff I've seen for a number of reasons. It's all been over complicating relatively simple things, lots of pull throughs and knots you really don't need - just makes everything take ages. That's the two biggest myths about ropecraft - you need to know knots and it takes too bloody long! Some folks might like that kind of thing, and each to etc., but I gave up following links to their vids because I never got more than halfway through without a 'head-desk' event.

There's some more philosophical stuff, can't really find the right words. Somehow very formulaic, not enough about the flow, wraps and tension, the tactile, sensuous, sexual, the D/s or indeed sadistic, the creative sides of the art. So, rather than follow a 'do this, then pull the whole lot through here', step by step sort of guide, I always suggest that once you've got a few fundamental ideas sussed, it's a creative and interpersonal thing where everything is unique. Then, the best resource is the grey stuff between your own ears and the person stood before you.

Something like that, anyway, even if it does sound a bit farty when you try to write it down!

And I'd recommend lessons with someone like @Wykd_Dave or @Esinem or the peer workshops, with plenty of experimentation to develop your own ideas instead.

But each to, but for myself, nope, not keen.

Anyway, bit more back to the plot, it occurs to me I've used the sort of technique mentioned earlier on silicone tits too, with no problems. Boinged back to shape, much to everyone's relief!

Good points Jahc, thanks for the feedback on TKB.

As to the issue with silicone - in theory they should be ok with bondage, *but* because the impant has a shell of scar tissue formed around it, if the breast is deformed temporarily, it may damage that shell (depending on the type and tightness of the bondage) and cause permenant harm to the breast/implant/shape. Each to their own of course, it's just a risk I wouldn't be willing to take on me. :)
