It's 1996...I'm bopping along to "Wannabe", hip thrusts and all, rejoicing in the pleasure of wild random behaviour accompanied by baaaad toons.
Out of breath and laughing, I turn to see him sitting arms folded on the couch, one eyebrow slightly raised. He doesn't look as amused as I am, but I try to pull him along with me by asking which one I look like most.
"None of them. You're too old to be a Spice Girl."
And suddenly the weight of what I've done crashes down on me. Married to this sour man...who doesn't dance like a loon in the living room, who doesn't feel music in his soul, who looks at me quizzically and asks himself aloud what on earth it was he saw in me in the first place. I embarrass him with my impulsiveness, with the way I accessorise my retro dress with big boots and a green headscarf.
A decision made purely on the strength of him being the first Brit I'd met that didn't wear socks with his sandals...perhaps not the wisest way to assume compatability.
Last night someone told me that I look a bit like Posh Spice in my pics on here...It made me smile.
The possibilities are endless. I'll never be too old to be a Spice Girl, well a Posh Dommey one anyways!

Just checked the vid out again...still Scary Spice that does it for me! There's something about erect nipples attempting concealment behind thin cotton...
