My style of dominance evolved very naturally into 'Mummy Domme'. I like to look after people. As a sub I am very much into the Daddy dynamic and also age play.

Can you share how this doesn't cause you conflict, as some have said it would for them?

I am dominant in a 'this will do you good' sort of way rather than acting as though I actually am someone's mother unless it's roleplay. In vanilla life I have been adopted by a group of young women who call me 'mum' so it seems I have a Mother-aura in my middle age.

I always veer towards calling a male partner 'Daddy', even the 'nillas, and havn't been in F/m relationship to try out being a mother figure full time. Tbh I don't think it would work for me because of my emotional need to feel looked after and be sub but playwise it's cool.

Thank you for that, makes sense. X

But where are the Mummy Dommes? The exact equivalent, but for gender, of the Daddy Dom? I don't mean as a partner to the Daddy, but a stand-alone Mummy to a young boy...or girl, with ultimate control. I don't mean Adult Babies either...more if you could exactly transpose that Daddy Dom dynamic. Does this dynamic exist, and if not, why not?

What an interesting topic! Some thoughts, I notice you mention transposing the Daddy dominant to a female gender. Well, women can be daddies too, so not necessarily a gender distinction but I'm going to continue on the basis that you are only referring to dominant females types.

The Mummy dominant is possibly uncommon as the nuturing aspect is present in other dominant female types. As previously mentioned, there may be discomfort if the dominant female already has children and sees this as a kink too far. That's before you even consider people who have real mummy issues. So Auntie/School Teacher/Big Sister are ways to skirt around this.

You questioned the difference between some of these types and the Mummy dominant type, probably down to the perception of fear, if we are throwing in some sadistic elements. Your sadistic goddess could be a scary, monstrous leather-clad evil doer but mummy is sweet and gentle (usually), so this discipline is for your own good and she still loves you no matter what? Bit off the cuff there, so I'm mostly feeling that theory out.

If you remove the Mummy/Adult Baby and Mummy/Sissy dynamics, I think you'll be left with a very narrow area to operate in which could be regarded as purely a Mummy dominant. Transposing the Daddy dominant dynamic, you have the strict but nuturing, protective mother-figure, with a definite "mother knows best" and possibly some taboo aspects as well. The submissive could be mummy's little girl/boy, mummy's angel, mummy's naughty slut etc.

The strict but nuturing aspect without the taboo/sexual overtones I find most comfortable with girls, with the dynamic revolving more around improvement than service. With boys, undertones of non-consent, humiliation and taboo can make for a great deal of hotness.

I've noticed on Literotica, it is a pretty prevalent theme. Incest/taboo stories are the 2nd largest category with mother/milf/older woman/mummy tags all appearing in the top 10. If those figures correlate to BDSM communities, maybe it is being thought about but not voiced? Lorelei's The Mistress Manual covers the mother aspects of both the Nursemaid and Queen dominant female types in some depth.

What an excellent response...thank you very much. And you've given me somewhere else to search for info too, much appreciated x

Ah, it is all about the growing and the change...there are certain things I know I will never do, certain I've done that I never thought I would, and I'm sure many that I've yet to discover!

Your approach is wise though x

I had a chance to talk to many guys who are into AB, most of them are submissive but feel they would never be welcomed int othe world of bdsm with their fetish for wearing nappies.

I am convinced they would :)

They often mention the yearning for a Mother figure and her being strict.

There are ABs in this world, but I think a low profile is kept to some extent...

I am probably looking to "adopt" a slightly older child tho...:)

Oh yes, may more than dare to admit.

Which is a shame, 'cause that creates an artificial taboo within the bdsm community, which of course it shouldn't be.

Ah, but if you were a Pagan, you'd understand.

In Paganism, Crone is respectful, not pejorative: therefore I am baiting my line for the sort of fish I seek to attract. Although I am aware, obviously, that some women might blanch at being called fish...

Ah yes, I understand now, and your bait is therefore just right. My apologies X

You are right, but there are certain groups on here that keep very quiet...because they know exactly how the "mainstream" will react. You only have to be flamed on here once to learn a lesson...for many, that sends them into permanent hiding. It is the way it is, not right tho, I agree.
