If a slave of mine found leather too easy to escape from, I would have to up the restraints a little.

I like to use these thin stainless steel restraints http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Heavy-Stainless-Steel-Chai...

But these might be worth a look if your slave struggles too much, maybe these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Stainless-Steel-Heavy-Duty...

Escaping the cuffs isn't really an issue, not least because they can be padlocked shut...

It's more a question of accidental damage due to straining against them or thrashing around during particularly harsh play.

Those stainless ones are very attractive and would be great for service scenarios; I suspect that the kind of violent struggling that made me break the (admittedly not heavy-duty) chains would probably result in serious injury if I were wearing solid metal cuffs.

If that happened, who would do the dishes?

I wore a set of cuffs and collar once that I'm sure are the Luxury set, and they were fab. Having said that, I didn't struggle against them enough to see if they'd break, so I can't comment on that. ;)

I guess it depends on how hard they might get pulled on. I saw someone wearing similar cuffs on a St. Andrews cross at a club once, and she was pulling very hard. Her feet were off the floor, and she was hanging from the cuffs. Because the D-ring that attached the cuff to the cross wasn't welded closed (or soldered, dunno how they do it), it gave way and the D-ring opened (if that makes sense - it was just pinched closed).

Maybe you could ask Top To Bottom if the D-rings are welded together - that could make the added cost worth it.

Happy shopping!

Leather Lace and Passion make leather cuffs with [welded D rings][http://www.leatherloveandpassion.co.uk//cuffs-p-...] with a lifetime guarantee. While I've not got any of the cuffs (yet) I have seen them at the LFF and drooled over the workmanship. I have bought one of their floggers and the quality of that is excellent, as one of my partners will attest to. ;)

Can anyone who knows about these kind of things give me an opinion on whether it's worth the extra money to buy the Heavyweight or the Luxury Leather Wrist Cuffs

It's for @MixAndMatch who's quite a strong lad and has managed to break chains in the past

All the D-rings that Top to Bottom use are fully welded.

I would pick the Heavyweight, whilst the luxury will be plenty strong enough the heavy weight will look better as they as wider and have a thicker belt. Psychologically they will tell him who is in charge and emphasise the futility of struggling.

The added bonus is as they are larger than most cuffs they will make him look less big and strong.
