I will always remember Darren as the cheeky, smiling, enthusiastic and delightful man I met at my first Cardiff Fish & Chips munch. Long, great conversation travelling over many different topics, inclusive, interesting and fun. I discovered him to be the friend, generous spirit, and conscientious Dominant that others have spoken about. I didn't know him well, but I liked him well and truly, holding him in true regard. As everyone says, he will be missed, sorely.

Love and peace, my friend.

Words and attitudes can be painful weapons in the modern world, which is why a knight in shining armor exercises mercy in his or her dealings with others, creating a sense of peace and community, rather than engendering hostility and antagonism. (The Seven Knightly Virtues S. Farrell)

I'm shocked and saddened. He was always so lively and bubbly. Such a nice guy to just sit, chat and have a laugh with, whatever the event. He'll be sorely missed.

I liked Darren a lot and didn't get to socialise with him nearly as much as I'd have liked to, mostly for one of the reasons I liked him a lot actually. Life's funny like that.

A lesson for us all there I think.

I'm pretty sure he's smiling and being philosophical about it all from wherever he is now.

Rest easy Darren.

Thanks for posting Chelle.

I mourn Darren's death. I always found him to be a good friend. He was outgoing and cheerful and I admired him for his tolerance, good nature, strength of character, fortitude and generosity.

Please pass my condolences to his parents if you can, and I'll be grateful to know about the funeral arrangements.

Thankyou everyone for your posts, and messages/texts/calls with your good wishes and offers to help. I'm sure they will be appreciated by his parents when I get to tell them, although I can't pass evry individual message on.

I will post (here) the date of the funeral, as soon as I know it, but not the location or time. Then anyone who is free to make it, can contact me for the details, so keep your eye's on here.

Perhaps, after the funeral, we can all meet up for a munch-like gathering (thanks Vicar for the idea), to celebrate Darren's life, and maybe sign a card to give to his parents and show how much he meant to us all. I know there are various collections planned, so we could present the money to them with the card(s).

am totally gutted, loved Darren so much. Spoke to him on the day he became ill and wish that I'd foreseen what was going to happen so I could have done something to stop it from happening. Was supposed to meet up with him this week and we had so many plans over the next year, am so sad that they will never happen. Would like to attend the funeral and the gathering afterwards and to also try and buy some of his things to remember him by. Will love you and miss you forever sweetheart xxxxxxx

"how do you know i'm mad?" asked Alice. "you must be" replied The Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here"
