There isn't enough evidence to prove one way or another. It's not like Haemophilia or any other medical condition with a clear line of inheritance due to physical manifestations in the genes of the ancestors. I think it's even less clear than eye or hair colour which is genetic, but is complicated. I reckon it's more like whether your children are going to be gifted in maths/music/art or whatever your forte is, just because both mother and father have these attributes. More subjectively, whether the child is intelligent due to a genetic predisposition. What makes it a lot more difficult to evaluate is that I suspect most people don't have a clue whether their family is kinky or not, let alone their forebears as this won't be discussed at family gatherings. Without further evidence, those who have said their siblings/parents are also kinky may not be proving that kinkiness is inherited. They may proving that the openness and willingness to discuss things doesn't fall within the mainstream, and is less a part of nature than it is nurture. |
