Sorry I'm picking your brains again. I've advertised in both Tied and teased and forum with various degrees of success(BTW a little bird tells me forum or foreplay as it is now is coming to an end is this right?)but I always get more people ring up when I advertise in places like viva street although mainly time wasters though. So I was wondering if any of you advertise in mainstream papers or magazines. Or do you feel it's just a waste of time and money?

I wouldn't even consider it. I'd never pay for advertising anyway. In my opinion it doesn't work apart from bring you to the attention of the legions of timewasters who are always looking for a new target. The best way to advertise is have a comprehensive web site and nurture your online presence. Stay well away from mainstream newspapers etc as all you get is timewasters, idiots, morons etc. And you also get the unwanted attention of the mail, NoTW etc.Try to establish a good online presence with a good website. http://empressm7.uboot.com/ http://www.socialkink.com/empressmartine Vampire, pro/lifestyle ts dom and switch. Sorry to disagree with the previous posts but it works for me, I advertise in the “Add papers” and have done since I started Pro Dom/sub work and it gets me far more clients than “specialty mags” or the internet. As for time wasters I get as many if not more from “cyber W**K**S” as I do from calls from my adverts.

I should imagine a pro sub's marketing could vary from Domination and for that reason alone I'd avoid the 'bottom end'. Specialised kinky magazines and websites will filter out a lot of the potential idiots who presume the O/P is fair game for whatever they feel like doing to her. It isn't unusual for people to contact me and ask if I can procure a sub. I point them in the direction of the one in the NW that I know of and if you have a website I'm sure local PD's would do the same for you. An escort friend tells me the massage parlour she worked in for a spell often had requests for kink (she wanted me to go and show them how to dominate - yeah right) and this could be the sort of establishment that could offer you work opportunities as your niche is rare and not unpopular. If they've been there a long time the authorities will be cool with them suggesting they're more likely to operate decently with the people working there. This would also ensure your safety and no, being there as a pro sub would not be illegal. The Red Rose Whispers Of Passion (J o'B R)

'fraid so, forum/foreplay, and the desire series have gone. Quite simply the magazine wasn't in enough shops, and so didn't sell enough copies as for advertising, I used to advertise in Scarlet (before its demise) to not much success, the ryanair in flight mag people approached me to put my "sex in the shower" advert in the ryanair rag for a mere 3 grand, turned them down flat
