I've bought several steel boned ones from Ebay and they've all held up to consistent wearing. Underbust works better if you're looking to acquire an hourglass figure, which should be obvious from my pics.

Cool, v.helpful.. Now..wonder what goes with a corset.. Hmmm.. Knee high's? Garters? Wooo what fun :p a place where all who roam, goto sooth their tones, course voices can whisper their thoughts, they will hear a slow pace, of firey ryimes and deshelved minds, where these wiery souls , rest their tired tired feet, but rich and generous a scene, that is duly repeat, as is known as the buskers retreat

sadly no illustration but my Dom has just acquired one and it is very well made and very very restrictive and breath-taking. Also compared to some others of similar quality it does seem a good price. Being made of thick leather it also doesn't slacken up like corsets made of lighter plastickey materials seem to do and it is quite stiff. For breath play it seems a better material for me, but you may be more turned on by visual aspects that a more traditionally made corset might offer? It seems that fettered pleasures is the only source of a corset so constructed from my own similar research.

it depends on what your wearing the corset for hun if your just wearing it as a guy then maybe a custom made one will be better but if your going to wear one to crossdress then i advise u to go on ebay and buy a vollers corset measure your waist then subtract 4 to 6 inches off the measurement then thats the waist size u need vollers corsets r very well made and strong enough for guys to wear i know cos ive got a couple of dozen of them in various fabrics all bough from ebay at a fraction of the retail price when u do get one dont try to lace it tight right away hun just reduce your waist by an inch or so then gradually tighten it over a few days this will give u a chance to get used to it and give the corset time to mould to your body shape also hun if its uncomfy on your body then its possitioned either too high or too low on your body anyway im sorry to waffle on i hope this info helps u

For a more interesting look, try googling john galliano's 2010 collection - he showed "man corset" which were pretty revealing corset/shorts for men What would tops do without bottoms? And vice versa!

I bought a waist cincher from Honour many years ago, the price at the time didn't appear unreasonable and they appear to be getting cheaper. It isn't branded but from my limited knowledge appears to be ok and sturdy enough. I remember initially selecting one that was a couple of inches less than my natural waist size (as recommended). When I tried it on it kept feeling 'baggy' at the top and bottom, in the end the kind shop assistant laced me into ever reducing sizes until I was wearing a 24" cincher. It was a lovely experience from my perspective, however, I digress. I would recommend that you try before you buy, maybe because most corsets aren't designed for male bodies that this is more imperative. I hardly ever wear it anymore, but I did try it on the other day and can still lace it virtually fully closed. The only problem is since I bought it is that I cracked a rib on a skiing holiday and that one of the boning strips sits directly above the break making it a tad uncomfortable. I would like to be laced into a longer length corset one day just to see the effect and feel the restriction. Good luck with your search.

I've always recommended Axfords because whilst they are not the cheapest, they are certainly well made. I once went to the 'factory' in Brighton when down there on business and they were a very friendly bunch. They do do some specific gentleman's corsets if you want a specifically male looking beast. Alternatively the rest of their corset range are (in my opinion!) far more aesthetically pleasing. I've never yet had an Axfords corset wear out or need repairs, though my Vollers corset has required a repair. One thing I was once told (and have no idea whether it is true or not) is that because of differences in the internal positioning of organs between male and female bodies, it isn't wise for a man to tightlace in a corset intended for women, as it will put too much pressure on the kidneys. I haven't found a definitive answer to that though. Insert blatant double-entendre in this slot |
