I only saw Tim Curry in the Frankenfurter role, and find it hard to imagine anyone else being as good. Who has or could have been a good Frankenfurter in your opinion?
Freddy Mercury springs to mind.

I saw it many many moons ago with Jason Donovan in the lead. It was the last night of the run, and the whole cast seemed, er, out of it. That said, it was a good night.

I saw Jason Donovan in the role at the Hackney Empire. It was a one-off benefit for something, anyway he was very good. But not as good as Tim Curry.
