Thanks for that, I wouldn't have thought they'd get through some of the thicker ropes. But the denim comment is a good one.

Shopping - personal recommendations of shops ?
Fourth, just a general recommendation for a UK based BDSM gear website with a huge selection and no mailshots after the purchase. Been looking at Affordable Leather recently, and they have a good selection but not huge for example.
Thanks for reading.

Is there a London alternative to the extensive range of equipment that Fettered Pleasures offers does anyone know? Where you can get furniture, good well made imaginative equipment aswell?
Thanks |

Good evening, I need to buy a few things and was hoping a person or two might be able to give some recommendations on where to source things. Ideally I'd be looking for high street stores or quality websites that won't keep sending me brochures for years after my purchase! Please don't Google on my behalf, it's just if you happen to know of somewhere from your own experience.
Firstly after some scissors. They would have two tasks, to cut through rope and secondly tape/film that was over the skin/face, both purposes for emergency release only. Probably have to be seperate items to have both qualities? (Thinking on, garden shears and bandage scissors maybe)
Secondly, a good place to buy quality hemp rope, and ideally other selections of ropey things.
Thirdly, 8-10 keyed alike padlocks. I can only find packs of up to 6 on my own efforts, so I may give up and just have to put up with having two types of keyes *woe*

http://bound-to-please.co.uk is a great place to buy rope and she has the scissors you need as well. Very friendly free advice and ships very quickly. You might need to email her about the scissors I dont think they are on the website. Take a look at her linen rope very nice and it doesn't stink like hemp.
http://www.affordable-leather.co.uk/shop/padlock... these are all keyed alike so you can buy as many as you want with same key and they are shiny silver and look nice and not expensive considering how pretty they look. Had some for years Edited 14 Apr 11, 3:48 PM by rupert_bare

I have some keyed alike sets of 4 padlocks bought on special offer at Robert Dyas. I had hoped to get 2 sets with the same keys, simply by visual isnpection (can't open packs in shop) but didn't succeed. I decided to colour code my padlocks and keys. Heatshrink tubing is ideal for the job. Insulation tape isn't too bad on the padlocks themselves.

I bought a load of padlocks from B&Q that have the same keys. Try there.
