This article particularly caught my eye because quite a few UK PDs have recently received a particularly unpleasant email from an individual who wants them to film themselves beating up a non-consenting homeless man. After reading this article it seems that this distasteful individual isn't on his own. I've also posted this here because the website where these films were used has been mentioned several times on IC. http://www.theledger.com/article/20110412/NEWS/1... It's a very interesting case regarding the issue of consent, withdrawing consent and consent given under duress. This blog explains the issues of consent as well as the ramifications for the rest of the adult industry (stroke BDSM in general?) http://blogs.creativeloafing.com/dailyloaf/2011/... Having now read the second link I'm not as sure as I was about the first. It'll be an interesting case to follow.

It would appear that they accepted the offers after weighing up their need for cash versus the potential outcome. I mean, they're not being dragged off against their will, and many returned for more. It seems like informed consent to me! Sooo.....and I know that it is NOT the same, and Im not implying it is... but by the same logic, if a woman is of low iQ and a junkie and sells her body to pay for it, she could claim rape? There is a huge difference between doing something for money because you want the money and doing it because you need the money. If they offered this money to random people then I wouldn't have a problem with it but they are deliberately picking on needy people who have few opportunities to earn that sort of money. I'm not saying I think it's completely wrong, the difference is that if they wanted people who could turn the money down easily they would have to pay a lot more than £50 to find someone willing to do it.
