So, the runners and riders have been declared for Saturday.
I haven't kept up to date (for many years) with the "form" etc., but I did notice one runner called "In Compliance" - surely that's worth £1 each way of any kinkster's money! ![]()
I'll only watch to make sure they all get round.... I'm not really bothered who wins as long as they all get home safely.

The Grand National isn't what it used to be since the IRA scare a few year's ago. Prior to that everyone seemed to get involved be it making tokens bets etc. I used to make my bet based upon either the name or the silks because I had no clue re form, just liked supporting what ever attracted me to the runner or if they were an outsider. She came, she saw, she laughed her head off.

I'm with you on that I do get quite bouncy as the grand national approaches. I shall be sticking with McCoy and don't push it and maybe a little extra on arbor supreme.

It's anybody's race, which is why it's so popular. Not seen the runners and riders yet, but I'll stick a few bob on any that I fancy. I used to put a bet on for the kids too, until my second eldest declared that she thought it was cruel and didn't want to be a part of it...
It used to be a family tradition... Not any more Good luck folks...(betting or not) |
