The fact that their homes are going to be searched "by appointment" at midday, with plenty of advance notice of the search for evidence shows that these arrests do not exactly evidence the Police turning over a new vigilant leaf in relation to NOW. And what about Coulson... A bit of a contrast with the police search of the offices of Damien Green MP at Westminster. My money is on Thurlbeck being vindicated in due course due to lack of evidence. The police are doing their level best to mess this up, but there's just so much evidence, it's a tap in. The question is how many should go to prison for it. As many as possible for as long as possible I would say. The scale of the phone tapping, and the people targeted, is the key though. Celebrities, often rich ones, often very rich ones, by the dozens if not hundreds. The legal action could be the death of the paper. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. |
