How long is a piece of string? (to coin a phrase) Many people forget that 'celebrities' are only people, like everyone else. Public awareness of kink through these stories is good for many groups, such as toy and clothing makers, retailers and the more public facing events like munches and markets. Tabloids love sensationalising so there will always be a stigma of sorts but free advertising is helpful, especially in these financially tough times. It's a dangerous story mind you. I think the point is rather, that she deeps it acceptable enough to the general public that it COULD move her career up, not plummet down.
