Will also be there. My first time at geek munch, though been to London munch and others many times. And quite a few clubs. Don't worry, my geek credentials are worthy!

Yet another great munch, saw plenty of friends and made some new ones. Thanks for organising (and for chocolate!). I like the stone's bar staff even more than usual, as they played a music request for me

Every third Wednesday - majority consensus seemed to be that the Stone is fine, so we're staying there. Next one should be Wednesday 18th May. I'll confirm with the pub and post the new May thread tomorrow!

Mac_rame suggested I'd repost this weblog entry here: ------ Ok... this is totally off topic. But I really cant think of a better place to ask than here. One of my kids (daughter, being 16) will soon have a schooltrip to London. Apart from the obvious cultural program, they will have one (!!!!) afternoon off for shopping. I once used to know the hot spots in London, but I'm afraid I'm entirely out of date now. So... do any of you know where a 16 year old girl, that is into fantasy, LARP (costumes or gadgets like jewelry and weapons and stuff), online games (the cool hang out places for nerds, which internet cafe???), and mildly goth (clothing and stuff???), gets the best bargains/clothes/etc? What is the new and upcoming neighbourhood nowadays that has cheap shops or vintage shops like that? (She only has one afternoon so it has to be that one special street... yunno). And what tube line should she use to get there? What station? Any input is very much appreciated!
