I went to school with a Jack Russell and worked for a Reverend Pratt. The one that really amazes me though - at my (all girls) school there was a board with the names of all the former head girls carved in and picked out in gold lettering. Somewhere in the mid 1920's there was a poor girl who had the name Fanny Hole. I bet she couldn't wait to get married! Blue skies, calm seas and the wind in my sails. When I was a student nurse doing my stint in A&E minors (walking wounded) I knew the qualified staff were trying to play a joke on us students. I went to call the next patient in, but decided to leave that for someone else as the name was Mr Hugh Jarse. All the patients in the waiting room had a good laugh that day too!
