Would a beef curtain farm count?

Not necessarily. If you carry a screwdriver in your handbag it could be interpreted as an offensive weapon but having a cattleprod in your glass cabinet still means you risk facing prosecution for having a dodgy item. I suppose a good defence lawyer would argue that case should you ever get to that stage. If you are going to have a prod my suggestion is don't keep it with the rest of your BDSM kit. I could be wrong, but I think it's fine to own an offensive weapon so long as you don't go carrying it around in public. See here: http://www.inbrief.co.uk/offences/offensive-weap...

The possession of a cattle prod is such grey area that it's something that even the Governmental law bodies seem to differ on. Taken from the CPS guidance: 'In addition the following are also prohibited but are not subject to mandatory minimum sentences: Section 5 (1) (b) any weapon of whatever description designed or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid gas or other thing. Generally stun guns or electric shock devices, CS gas not usually cattle prods but depends on type;' Taken from the Home Office firearms guidance: 'Cattle prods are not considered to be within this category because they are not designed or adapted as weapons.' However, taking one on the street, or any other public place; would almost certainly result in a charge of possession of an offensive weapon, as there is no reasonable excuse or permission from lawful authority to have an article which can be used as a weapon about the person. They are an offencive weapon and unless you have a legal reason for having one,e.g. a beef cattle farm then you will get your collar felt, excuse the parlience.Modification of a electric fly swat could be termed as an offencive weapon,if use it as one.Cattle prods are not guns unless you are mixing them up with a cattle stun bolt gun, which is outside its normal use,an offencive weapon. http://empressm7.uboot.com/ Vampire pro/lifestyle ts dom and switch. The energy output from a cattle prod is intended for an animal weighing over half a ton. Apparently obeseity is rife in the western world but that is at least somewhere between three to five times the average persons bodyweight. Try looking up 'coaxer' instead of cattle prod. Intend for use on smaller livestock. Same as having a knife blade over 3inches or a screwdriver in your pocket down the pub .. carrying one without good reason in unsuitable circumstances is ill advised. Owning one is just perfectly fine. Using it is probably just as illegal as assaulting someone with a cane or paddle and leaving non-triffling marks. I plan to live forever, so far so good! | ||

Of course it isn't a firearm. How on EARTH could a cattle prod be considered a firearm. That is like saying a mousetrap is a weapon. ETA: Having said that, my lil eyes are just lighting up now at the possibilities that mousetraps are "springing" into my head.
