I'm tempted by it, but fear it could simply be a slightly less shit Skyline (arguably the worst film ever to gain a theatrical release, in my opinion). Probably a download rather than a cinema trip for me. 'I'm gonna go hit the juice bar. You probably wouldn't like it. It's not about living out childhood abuse through degrading sexual encounters. Yes, please let us know. Very tempted to see it just for Michelle Rodriguez. But I watched 'Machete' cause she was in it (as was Jessica Alba), and it was the worst film I've ever seen. How they got the two of them to appear in the film I don't know. Must have drugged them to get them to sign the contracts. I find too much action can be overkill. Like Transformers II. At about 2/3rds of the way through I just wanted the movie to end already. But, my son loved it. Couldn't get enough. Must be a guy thing. You say Ouch like it's a bad word. | ||

Grizzled officer about to quit - Check Same officer haunted by the death of marines in his command - Check Cannon fodder marines with new wives, pregnant girlfriends - Check All conquering alien lifeform - Check Good looking female vet - Check Heroic dad - Check Brave son - Check Rousing speeches - check, check and check Rookie leiutenant straight out of the acadamey - Check Fiesty female marine - Check Banter - Check Big booms - Check 2 hours gone in a flash - check Best film I've paid to see this year - Check ONLY film I've paid to see this year - Check Well it's OK, more of a war movie than an alien invasion, but non the worse for that. I enjoyed it.
