Stumbled over this on You Tube this evening..........still find it v emotional,.......some of us over a certain age might remember it.........

Thanks for this Geoff - yet again this confirms for me that the true enemy for most nations and peoples are the governments of those very peoples.

The lessons governments drew from the defeat in Vietnam were:

1. Alway present conquest in the interest of the peoples of the invaded nation: democracy, rights of women etc.

2. Don't show your own servicemen getting killed or blown up.

3. Cover up friendly fire incidents and atrocities by your own side.

4. Make certain the vocal opponents to any such action are not allowed unrestricted access to the media.

5. Never allow embittered ex combatants or grieving parents/relatives any air time.

6. Never admit to setbacks or even defeat.
