That is so very sad.

I chatted with him and exchanged memos from time to time.

He always struck me as being a very pleasant,perceptive, witty and intelligent man.

He was loved and appreciated more than he knew. I was contacted this afternoon and told this shocking news and I find it so hard to believe. He was so alive and vibrant and energetic with such a wicked sparkle in his eyes!

That's really sad... he was a great character... witty, clever and knowledgeable... he'll be missed on here.

<respectful pause>

He didn't mention anything about a tin of paint before he went by any chance?

Goodness, how sudden. Poor Stormy - I guess. I don't think he'd have enjoyed being elderly and frail, is all I can say. He was very kind to me, and continued so even when he knew I wasn't "interested", which is always telling.

Makes you think, his going just like that.

Thanks to Frankie for posting, and to Wonderer for drawing my attention to it.

Lyn and I got to know stormy through Norwich Munch and telephone conversations over a long period of time, we will both miss him and send our warm condolences to his family at this time.

After speaking to his son on the phone I promised I would email him a link to the weblog that would undoubtedly be set up in memory of his father.

Rest in peace stormy, many will miss you.

Andy and Lyn xx

For those that think they will never find what they seek, there is hope, we have found all we ever dreamed of, first with each other and now with another special couple :-D

I'm intrigued that some of you knew him through the Norwich munch. It would have been fascinating to meet him in real life. How very sad for all who are bereaved, to differening extents and each in their own way.
