Another one of my infrequent ramblings im afraid,this time about the sleepy up turned nose town that is Chester.
Lets be frank, this place should be in Wales only the welsh didnt want it.
It has three claims fo fame that i can think of....
1.Hollyoaks is filmed here 2.It has a church 3.A footballer or two live here
I was there on monday enduring the traffic and roadworks.
It used to have a Football League club who's owner milked it dry before last year it went bust.
People have coffee and tea in the supermarket and claim its a cafe society...
No one smiles in Chester...why?

I liked the Walls and above street level shopping walk ways. Its very picturesque, with the clock etc. The Racecourse is the silted up old Roman harbour "the Roodee" and i had my biggest win there £399.00 few years back. I was smiling then but i think i know what you mean. | |

5. It has some of the best charity shops. 6. And plenty of those real old-fashioned places to have lunch: the sort where an accompanying plate of bread and butter is brought regardless of whether you've ordered it or not.
