Great day at the LAM birthday Bash , well done again to Jacksfloggers , well deserved Lamie winner . New Venue was a bit hectic to start with for us traders , floor space available had changed at the last minute meaning us in the rear of the venue ended up a bit cramped , beyond our control and that of the LAM crew , but we manged to get 90% of our items out , no doubt we will have rectified this by the next event . Location is great , Venue will adapt to our needs as we settle in , nice to see so many People , lots of new faces , regulars , and some we had not seen for some time , thanks to all that enjoyed a "retail" experience with us , Andy & MeMe

It was a fantastic, tho busy day and great to see so many old and new faces. I'd like to thank all the crew who worked like trojans to help make the day go as smoothly as possible.

The after party was very chilled with a lot of interesting play going on.

All in all a fantastic 5th birthday celebration for the LAM even with the teething problems of breaking in a new venue and putting our stamp on it.

see you all next month :-D

It was so lovely to get to LAM again and catch up with so many familiar friendly faces. Came along with the new man in my life, old faithful friend and a recent friend who I had not expected to see at the entrance on arrival, think we both got a surprise on that score lol. We all enjoyed it so much and will of course be back.

New toys purchased were tested, very successfully too I might add, later that evening so big smiley faces all round. Talking of smiley faces mine is still in situ and will be for some time to come I hope ;-)

Big thanks to the LAM crew for once again making so much effort to keep us all entertained throughout the day.

Good afternoon, really liked the trading layout. I thought the afterparty left a bit to be desired though; the play equipment being opposite the bar just made it a bit nerve-racking. We did play anyway but I found it impossible to relax and get into it with a barful of people right behind me. Also I am curious what the good of a dark dungeon is if it isn't open during the afterparty? I had no idea it was just during the market itself; a little more info could have been really useful. Next time we decided we'll give the after party a miss for these reasons.

All in all I preferred the old venue, more social space and chill out area (sofas are great) and just more space in general. Though I do agree that the market itself was loads better for being in the new location.

I think this is more on the venue than the LAM, but here seems as good a place as any to say it - is there some reason none of the doors in the dark dungeon had locks that worked? Of the five or so there, only one had any sort of complete mechanism and even that was useless enough that somebody pulling hard on the door could open it. It's a bit of a mood-killer, as you can imagine.

Basically as I am seeink it, Ray, the problem is that you are not callink your girlfriend for five months. You see, the hot babies like to feel wanted. If you are not callink them on the phone for a while, it is like a way of saying "you are worst song, played on ugliest guitar"

Could it be that life was simple then or has time re-written and if we had the chance to do it all again Would we? Could we?...life is like a Bo-Tox of cherries...I would have rather been Rick Asley but I'm NOT to sort a new venue in a Tranport friendly location thats compatable to a Traders Market on a Sunday and lay on an after market party that has a staffed bar with top quility play kit and do the LAM'ies as well...the kids done well...other than the Bogs LETS LOOK AT WHAT WE GOT...Terry you're a Fucking genius and your bird ain't bad as well...so there I've said it!!

Really enjoyed myself, love the new venue, good feel. Wonderful people as always.

Agree the play space being right opposite the bar is a little unnerving. Some sort of screen might help?

Looking forward to coming again :-).

As after party organiser, I think it best I reply to this one. This was in fact our first event at this venue and we did the best we could with the space available to us. I think you'll find there was dungeon furniture in the area around the corner from the bar as well as the main bar area. The dark dungeon was available through the day because the venue owners offered it for day time use only. Unfortunately the old venue was great for partying but no good for trading, without traders there is no market and without a market there is no after market party. As the saying goes you can't please all the people all the time etc etc... However your criticisms have been taken on board and will be taken into account during future layout plans.

Thanks for your input we'll take these issues up with the venue owners during our meetings in the run up to the next LAM but, the usual users of the environment where we had the dark dungeon do not see the need for locks whilst using them. Hope this answers your query.
